With a wide selection of samples and careful attention to detail, Ryan Cordovan has crafted a truly pleasant chillhop/lofi album that would fit great on any “Lofi Chillhop Beats to Relax and Study to 24/7” playlist. Sugary melodies drift over dry drum hits and crackling white noise. Every element is gentle and winding, detailed enough for deep listening and unassuming enough for passively sipping coffee or napping while you listen.
Great care was put into this album. Each sample pairs perfectly with the next, the levels are on point, and each track is seamless and carefree. There are brooding moments and calming moments in equal measure, creating a balanced listening experience that’s truly enjoyable.
It’s rare that you come across an album that can really appeal to people across the board. “Dark Days Don’t Last” is an album that anyone could put on and relax to. It’s clean, soothing, and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
